Wonderful House..........

Architectural Design Team:

Peter J. Stewart & Mathew T. Stackpole

Drawing from the many round table discussions &
unpretencious characters involved with this project, wonderful things happened as everyone listened and developed a thorough understanding of the clients needs and the resulting usage patterns that would
correspond well with the site.

Having an honest relationship established between the clients and the architects,
in conjunction with the integration of site and the user needs,
this project gained the potential to be wonderful!

A Martin Acres Remodel

Yes, its our own local "gempool" of remodeling potential.............

This was an expressively new home when erected in 2004 with, 4
bedrooms, 2-baths, & a 2+ car garage in martin acres................. Its the typical ranch pop top that is so often desired with its new master suite, larger kitchen and living area with dining area remodel......The altering roof styles and pitches created a well scaled home amongst its neighbors & Boulder's solar preservation ordinance. Although several characteristics of the home were changed by the builder, i.e. the metallic materials wereintended to be rusting stl., and the window patterns were altered, this home is still a wonderful project.

Recycled materials and a good energy package made for an effective remodel reducing the buildings annual costs, more than doubling the floor area- this image was taken during construction.

3911 Wolff Street - Denver, Colorado

New homes in "historically established neighborhoods" are not always welcome, however spending less than one month on the market this new residence seemed fitting to both the existing setting and the new owners!
The craftsman elements are appealing & front porches are communal. This new home sustains the existing scale and context and plays well with others!

The Prior foursquare.

This Denver four-square residence is a typical brick structure from our recent past. Through the years people add on modify and change the character of a structure in so many ways. The owners of this home spent many dusty nights bringing it back to life, and no other change was more appreciated than this ....................

A Stewart Architects Project

Architectural Design Team:
Peter J. Stewart & Mathew T. Stackpole

This old farmers residence in Louisville, Co. began as a historic remodel, & after many models later........ what resulted is a funky twist on old traditions.

Eclectic finishes unite new and old, the house re-unites
the user with past and awakens the present..........This house is a gift!!

Kaiser Pump-House

The Pump House Project...........
Located along a shady mountain creek, within an historic mining district,
surrounded by rustic timber and log structures,
this small well house is designed for its story book setting...............

Concept Studies............

Located on the urban fringe of lower downtown Denver, this single family dwelling has all the potential to rise above old standards. The eastern & southern views from this site soar across Denver's skyline to the horizon beyond. The open floor plan will share natural light throughout the house. Street level entry with home office and theater. Patios, balconies and a roof top terrace will unite the user with the climate we so love in Colorado. I already Enjoy this home!!
